Battlefield 1943 : Alive after 10 years?!

Now 10 years for some gamers, must make their mouths dry and their teeth itch, yes we all know, any game made before 2019 is terrible, old, ugly, bad LOLZ, but for those of us with sense, a game that was good in 2009 is still good today. Battlefield 1943 while very much a console shooter, has held up extremely well, and while it seems a little simplistic compared to new battlefields, we can see the embryo of those modern

Little Green Men Age Well.. mostly.

Maybe it’s that smooth green plastic skin, maybe its the fact they spend most of their day stood still, saving calories and avoiding exhaustion, whatever the reason Army men games by 3D0 have well (mostly), we will take a look at the 4 games from the series available on steam. While all 4 suffer from a very low Res due to their release year, each have something to offer, from a shot of nostalgia, to actual mechanical brilliance lets dig

Realm of the Wood Elves : Short and Sweet

I am a huge fan of Total War Series, and honestly combining Total War with the Warhammer universe is something a fantasy nerd like me really gets excited about, that being said while loving the title i had never even tried the Wold elves Race or Campaign despite owning both, this is my review of my first play though of the Wood Elf Campaign as Orion King of the Woods! How does it Feel? We All know its gonna look

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition : Surprisingly Good for a console RTS

Microsoft was the king of RTS. When you look back at some of the Microsoft published RTS games of the late 90s and early 00’s you see a quality of gameplay that frankly isn’t seen much anymore, while there are new RTS and they all look much prettier than these golden era games, yet they all lack the soul that games produced in the 90s and early 00s had in abundance, from stories and heroes you actually cared about to

10 Surprisingly Good, Bad, Awful Games

1) Guild of Dungeoneering A  very cool little turn based card combat game with an extremely unique graphical look that closer to living pen and paper than any other style, great sprites and game-play mechanics that are unique to the title, such as instead of controlling only your hero, you also must build the dungeon around him/her, providing near-endless replay value, the simple character sprites even change appearance to match equipped gear, a nice immersive feature a lot of indie titles

Running with Rifles: 1990s ArmyMen Returns.. kinda.. not really.. but almost!

Armymen Memories, Sweet Memories! Back in the early 2000’s I loved the Army Men games form the late 90s, the games while simple design wise provided a great amount of both fun and mechanical complexity, having replayed them recently i find the enemy Ai to be a darn bit smarter than a lot of games today and overall they were a polished product for the time. RwR reminds me  very much of the feeling i had playing those games, while

Stranded Deep: Yeah Exactly that…

Its Deep. Stranded Deep is an open world survival game like so many others, however what sets it apart is the depth of crafting and survival aspects, picking up coconuts isn’t a simple slot and snack ordeal, from climbing trees to cutting it open, there are a few more steps involved with everything you do. Crafting also shares this philosophy with multiple stages being required to produce most items, this adds a deeper level of immersion which for a game

Worms Reloaded : 8 years isn’t a Decade.

Just a pet peeve out the way first, I see several people calling this game a decade old, a decade is 10 not 8 years.. with that being said Worms Reloaded is close to getting its gaming social security, is it any good 8 years after release? How does it play? It plays the same as almost every worms game since the 90’s decent fun gameplay with nicer looking graphics than the 90’s but honestly its worms, if you like

7 Days to Die, 5 years to Try

A very solid game but we need to enjoy the journey. This review is of the Latest experimental update, its a solid game which captures the feeling well of the Apocalypse, graphics are dated but serviceable, gameplay is fun and challenging and the random map gen and modding capabilities provide an endless array of opportunities to fine tune the zombie Apocalypse to your liking, i have many times raised a whole town with over a dozen player,s its a heck

StarDrive 2 : Not Bad, just not needed.

StarDrive 2 fails in no major areas and while it doesn’t succeed in any either, its not a poor game and on paper is a very solid title, the problem is however, there simply isn’t a need for it to exist. The Nerdy Cousin. Galactic Civilizations 3 and Masters of Orion are vastly better games with larger fan bases, and better lore, it was an uphill battle for Stardrive to break into the genre and while its done reasonably well

Path of Exiles: Diablo MMO?!

“Path of Exiles: Diablo MMO?!” Hows that for a click bait title? and while it is partially true, the game-play is one of the best Non-Diablo ARPG on the market, its free to play with an incredibly fair system, relying mostly on convenience and cosmetic sales to keep afloat, it sells no items which provide a direct competitive edge in its cash shop. Boring stuff out of the way, how is it? Its a very solid and pretty title, combat
